UPDATES
1/1/05:
The Tomcat Group Build is in full swing! Check out the recent entries here.
11/14/04:
The ARC Group Build Info Page has been updated yet again, this time with a list of the current sponsors and raffle prizes. There are some really fantastic prizes being offered, so make sure you're in it to win it. The more models you build, the more chance of winning.
11/1/04:
The ARC Group Build Info Page is up and running, as well as a partial list of sponsors. It's two months away, and already, the F-14 Group Build is gathering a lot of momentum! Also, check over at ARC, as the Group Build Forum is now active. No 'in-progress' photos or articles are permitted as of yet, but preliminary information is available.
Along the same lines, I'm considering taking the discussion forums down. They don't serve a lot of purpose here, as there are a number of very active discussion forums available at other sites. They've already been heavily trimmed down, and will probably be gone soon.
5/26/04:
Feature Article #3 is finally finished. Again, I apologize for the lack of updates, but I've finally managed to get this one finished and photographed. Two more Tomcats are underway as we speak, and I'll try to get some in-progress photos up of these two projects shortly.
8/31/03:
Sebastian Manfre is here tonight
with his Hasegawa 1/48 F-14B,
decked out in the livery of VF-103's showbird just prior to the application of
the 60th anniversary markings. Loads of images to go with Sebastian's
text.
Also, We have a new Reference Gallery focusing on the current VF-103 showbird in
60th anniversary commemorative markings. Our sincere thanks to Jim
Marriott and Danny Deters for
sending in the photos!
8/10/03:
It's been quite a while, and I have to apologize to all for the lack of
updates. Work has been a colossal time committment for me for the last few
months, and I just haven't had the time to put into the site that I'd like to
. I hope you'll enjoy today's update!
I'd like to welcome Creighton
Henthorn, Jr. to ScaleAIR. Check out his Guest Gallery featuring his 1/48
Hasegawa F-14B, VF-103 'Santa Cat'. Creighton's Guest Gallery contains
eleven images.
Jack Zeleznik is also here today with a Guest Gallery featuring his Revell-Monogram F-4J Phantom II in VF-84 livery. Six photos are included.
Finally, walkarounds are back! All walkarounds and reference photos are now
copyright protected and back on line. More walkaround photos are coming
very soon, so stay tuned.
5/3/03:
Some new walkaround photos comprise this week's update:
Brian Marbrey and Sebastijan Videc are here with a selection of photos of VF-103 Tomcats in their first Jolly Rogers Markings (the black and white scheme with black tails). Fourteen images are included.
Brian Marbrey updates Reference Article 2 with three additional images of VF-103 line birds in their current scheme.
I've also added a page about myself. I'm sure it'll be the highlight of the day, but at least now if you see me at a show, you'll know who I am.
4/27/03:
We've got a few updates for you tonight, as follows:
Patrick Spitaels is here with a Guest Gallery showcasing his Hasegawa F-14B in VF-103 livery.
Mike Boyd has some reference photos of some unusual CVW-8 markings, circa 1980
Rusty Keeler joins us with his 1/32 Revell F4U Corsair in VF-17 'Jolly Rogers ' markings
Marko Trnski has provided a comprehensive list of available F-14 kits along with VF-84/VF-103 markings.
Finally, the Links page has been updated with the addition of IPMS/USA, M.A.T.S., and Tomcat Alley.
And next week, we'll have even more walkaround photos of VF-103 line birds by our good friend Brian Marbrey, and if all goes well, Feature Article 3 (Academy VF-84 lo-viz bird) will be finished as well.
