Hasegawa 1/72 F-14D, VF-143 'Pukin' Dogs'

This is my first entry for the F-14 group build.

The kit is the superb Hasegawa 1/72nd kit, specifically the F-14D Red Rippers boxing. Basically to turn this kit into the F-14B i just had to swap out the dual TCS/IRST chinpod for the single TCS pod and change the bang seats from the NACES seat to the trusty old GRU-7 seats, which wasn't much work at all. I also upgraded the RIO's console with the PTIDS screen
required for LANTIRN use and added Fujimi pilots, though with the pilots fitted you can't see any of the detail i added to the pit....doh!

I painted this cat in standard TPS colours, Light Ghost Grey undersides FS36375, Dark Ghost Grey nose and tailplanes FS36320 and Medium Grey topsides lightened with a little grey FS35237. The decals were from CAM for a VF-143 bird during OEF.
